In January, a group of Rampagers gathered in Buenos Aires and thence down to Trevelin in Patagonia ( where they still teach welsh in the schools) to prepare for kayaking through the Andes from Futaleufu on the Chilean - Argentine border to Chaitan on he Pacific coast. The Futaleufu is the mecca for white water rafters and it did not dissappoint with most rapids a tower block size five plus. With the big rapids behind us we transferred to kayaks for the six day crossing in the most beautiful natural wilderness on earth. Greenland is the only other place still as God made it ! Wild camping, fishing, Beach Rugby, Beers, wine, and a few hard days across Lago Yelcho saw us finally make the Volcano destroyed (2008) port of Chaitan .. what a trip !
